Play It Safe In The Sun!

A broad spectrum sunscreen plays a significant role in helping reduce your risk of skin cancer, protect against sunburn and sun damage, and help minimize redness while preventing the early onset of wrinkles and fine lines. If you want to keep your skin looking radiant and healthy long term, wearing sunscreen on a daily basis is an absolute must. Sunscreen is for everyone, every day, regardless of skin color or weather conditions.  Message me for my favorite recommendations.

AHA'S

AHA'S: Alpha Hydroxy Acids

Alpha Hydroxy Acids

What are AHA'S? Alpha Hydroxy Acids gently remove dead skin cells on the surface of the skin by dissolving them which leads to cell turnover. AHA'S are useful for fading sunspots, and age-related discoloration; firming the skin, avoiding acne; and reducing wrinkles and fine lines. AHA'S also help your other skin care products absorb into the skin more effectively. Glycolic Acid is a very popular AHA and is a fruit acid derived from cane sugar and has a smaller molecular structure and easy penetration into the skin.  Acetic Acid, Malic Acid, Citric Acid and Lactic Acid are also AHA'S. A skin consultation is necessary to find your best home care regimen.

What is Hyaluronic Acid?

The human body continuously produces, consumes and synthesizes hyaluronic acid molecules. They are predominantly found in skin tissues. Around the age of 30, the hyaluronic acid amount produced and synthesized by the body gradually begins to decrease. This decreases the skin’s ability to maintain an optimal hydration level.

Hyaluronic acid has strong moisturizing properties. It acts on maintaining the skin’s water balance, as well as having repairing and regenerating properties of the tissues. Given its remarkable ability to retain water, it’s able to swell, increasing its volume, thus filling small wrinkles for an anti-aging effect.
